See “The Masked Singer” season 12's first performance, new costumes, and Ken Jeong losing his mind
Is that a... Booger mask?
Watch out Mucinex Man, when season 12 of The Masked Singer starts in September, one of the new costumes might just give you a run for your snotty money.
In the first official teaser for the forthcoming season, which Entertainment Weekly is exclusively debuting below, a mask that certainly resembles a giant booger can be seen (or maybe it's just slime?). Fox isn't confirming names just yet, but costumes resembling a melted Peep, a dodo bird, some kind of purple insect, a bison, and some sort of plant can also be spotted in the clip.

The teaser also reveals the first vocal performance from the new season, which is being delivered by a costume that can best be described as a pirate ship. Panelist Ken Jeong can also be seen standing on top of the judges' table screaming in triumph — perhaps Bj?rk is finally on the show?
Until now, not much had been made public about the new season. Previously, Fox revealed that The Masked Singer shoots for "new heights in its twelfth season with all-new special theme nights celebrating huge blockbuster IP and music from iconic superstars."
Additionally, new this season, clues will be hidden everywhere — embedded in costumes, in song choices, packages, and on-stage moments. Eagle-eyed viewers will notice some nods to these new clues in the teaser above. See if you can spot them!

The Masked Singer is produced by FOX Alternative Entertainment. Rosie Seitchik, Craig Plestis and Cannon serve as executive producers. Seitchik serves as showrunner. The series is based on the South Korean format created by Mun Hwa Broadcasting Corp.
