The 2023 MTV VMAs aired live from Newark, New Jersey, on Tuesday (Sept. 12). Nicki Minaj hosted MTV’s iconic awards show, and the night was historic.
Taylor Swift extended her record as the most-awarded artist in the Video of the Year category. Nicki advanced her record as the most decorated musician in the Best Hip-Hop category, and Shakira was honored with MTV’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
The storied network also brought out the stars for the event, with an appearance from NSYNC, Timbaland, and Nelly Furtado. Performances came from Nelly, NLE Choppa, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Metro Boomin, Shakira, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, and more.
