See practically every Marvel star ever come together for MCU's 10th anniversary
It’s just like a class reunion, but 80 times as super. On Oct. 7, all the major players of the Marvel Cinematic Universe thus far — both stars and filmmakers — gathered on the Avengers: Infinity War set in Atlanta for a photo shoot celebrating 10 years of MCU films. Back then, a few of the celebrities involved, including Mark Ruffalo and Samuel L. Jackson, leaked their own photos from the top-secret event. Finally, we have the official version, in the style of the Academy Award nominees’ annual group picture. Now all Marvel fans will be forced to ask themselves an important question: Who would you want to stand next to?
The film that started it all, 2008’s Iron Man, was represented by stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr., as well as director Jon Favreau. Paltrow and Downey are seated up front with Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo. This would be an excellent seating choice — who could resist being the Goop-y filling in a Chris sandwich?
Mark Ruffalo and Captain Marvel‘s Brie Larson are the most likely to be talking about something important. Or they’re talking about Vin Diesel’s denim-on-camo pants, which you can see behind them. Either way, a solid pick.
Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is one of the funniest people on the planet, and he’s standing with Jeff Goldblum, Ant-Man and the Wasp‘s Michelle Pfeiffer, and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler. Choose this bleacher if you want to hear some stories.
OK, here we go: Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Elizabeth Olsen. Even in a room full of beautiful people these three stand out, and they’d get you so many Instagram likes.
Honestly, there are so many amazing people in this group that even the stars were starstruck. Watch them talk about it in the behind-the-scenes video below.
