Now that Love is Blind season 7 has come and gone with the release of its reunion on October 30, it's clearer than ever that the Netflix franchise is the ultimate guilty-pleasure reality TV show. Though some fans were hoping the Washington D.C.-set season would be less contentious than its predecessors (or maybe even similar to the breath of fresh air that was Love is Blind: UK), the season 7 cast provided more discourse than romance, with only one couple, Taylor and Garrett, making it out of the season married and scandal-free.

Despite offscreen controversies between couples and legal challenges, millions of viewers continue to tune in every season, so Love is Blind isn't going anywhere. Below, we're keeping track of everything we learn about Love is Blind season 8.

Considering the show's success—season 7 was among the streamer's Top 10 most-viewed shows during its run—it makes sense that it's coming back. Netflix also often already has a new season in production or filmed and ready to go when LIB is airing, which may be the case with the upcoming installment.

When will 'Love Is Blind' season 8 come out?

Netflix revealed via Tudum that Love is Blind season 8 is set to premiere on February 14, 2025—making for a romantic yet chaotic way to celebrate Valentine's Day. The streamer has yet to share how many episodes will drop on the release date, although in the past the show has rolled out episodes over several weeks. We'd guess all pod installments would drop on V-Day, while the remainder of the season comes out throughout February and into early March.

The February 14, 2025 premiere date checks out since LIB has become a twice-yearly mainstay of the streaming giant's non-scripted slate. (And that's without counting all the international versions.) For example, Love is Blind season 6 premiered on Valentine's Day 2024 before season 7 debuted in early October.

Where will 'Love Is Blind' season 8 be set?

The setting of each Love is Blind season is often kept tightly under wraps until a month or two before its release, but this time around, it's already been announced where the season 8 romantic hopefuls are from. Season 8 of LIB will feature singles from the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota area. The Lacheys revealed the location during the season 7 reunion.

Some fans had already suspected the Twin Cities was where the reality hit was headed. Minneapolis/St. Paul was included in a casting call the show's production company, Kinetic Connect, posted on Instagram in 2023. We'll have to see how "Minnesota nice" the cast turns out to be!

While season 8's setting has been confirmed, there may be even more seasons of LIB set in other metro areas on the way. For example, in the casting call that mentioned Minneapolis/St. Paul, Denver, Colorado, and Washington, D.C. (where season 7 was set) were included. Axios Denver even reported in March 2024 that several golden goblets were sighted in a popular local eatery. Plus, Multiple Redditors have also claimed that the show was filming in Scottsdale, Arizona around September or October 2023, just months after Kinetic posted a casting notice for Phoenix—and if that production went anywhere, those episodes have yet to hit Netflix.

If you're really interested in keeping track (or hoping to find love on TV), other cities included in recent Love is Blind casting notices have been for Atlanta, Georgia (apparently getting a round two after being featured in season 1); Columbus, Ohio; Miami, Flordia; and the New England area on multiple occasions. Calls for Tampa, Florida, Detroit, Michigan, and Nashville, Tennessee have also gone out.

Who is in the 'Love is Blind' season 8 cast?

In a new, surprising move, Netflix has already introduced a handful of the individuals hoping to get hitched in season 8. During the LIB season 7 reunion, three cast members from the forthcoming Minneapolis installment appeared—two men, Alex and Joey, and a woman named Brittany.

The smiling trio didn't give too much away, but Alex opened up about why he's struggled with finding the one and the Twin Cities dating scene. "I personally just prioritized other things in my life—in work and friends and travel," he shared.

The season 8 participant added, "It's such a small community. It's not like a major city but it's also not a small town so you kind of see the same people over and over, and it's a small bar scene. I just never found the right person that clicked for me."

Joey and Brittany didn't chime in, and it's yet to be announced who else will join them in the pods—but we'll keep our eyes peeled for any news in the coming weeks before the Valentine's Day premiere.
