Ahead of the 2024 Emmys on Sunday evening in Los Angeles, stars have begun arriving on the red carpet. Metallics have already emerged as a popular choice, with “Fallout” actress Ella Purnell selecting a silver chainmail shift, while shades of champagne are trending among attendees like Dakota Fanning and Padma Lakshmi.

Selena Gomez modeled a velvet halter-neck gown by Ralph Lauren, which was adorned with more than 600 crystals. The “Only Murders in the Building Star” accessorized with leaflike diamond drop earrings and diamond-encrusted bangle bracelets.

Dakota Fanning

Fanning wore a strapless Armani Privé gown embellished with pearlescent beads. Her shimmering shift initially debuted during the label’s fall 2024 presentation, held in Paris earlier this summer.

Laverne Cox

Cox continued her sustainable style streak in an archival satin Alexander McQueen gown with gold botanical embroidery from 2007. The actress and E! red carpet hostess also added on a matching floor-length shawl and a gold Paco Rabanne chainlink statement necklace. “I’m giving glamour, glory and gold,” Cox said on the red carpet.

Lakshmi opted for a strapless ivory sequined gown featuring a slit skirt, pairing it with drop earrings, metallic open-toe heels and a cylindrical clutch.

Ella Purnell

“Fallout” star Purnell donned a silver Rabanne gown crafted from the label’s signature chainmail. Her plunging frock featured a halter neckline. She accessorized with diamond jewelry including bracelets, rings and earrings.
