Selena Gomez Wears Black Keyhole Leather Boot to ‘Emilia Perez’ Latinas in Hollywood Event
More from Footwear News
Selena Gomez is still on the road promoting “Emilia Perez.” For her latest look the singer and Rare Beauty owner wore all black. She put on a black leather trench coat which she belted and featured fur lapels.
In addition she wore a pair of Schiaparelli boots. The shoe appears to be a boot version of the company’s pump. The pump is a patent leather style. It features a signature keyhole embellishment on the toe. Gomez’s embellishment is black, though the accessory is generally gold. The toe is pointed. The collar of the pump is scalloped. The curvy edge means that the shoe is low-cut on parts of the foot.
The heel itself flares out at the base. It’s also likely around four inches. Schiaparelli sells that pump currently.
Gomez’s shoe appears like a variation on it. With that patent leather pump as a base, the shoe morphs into a second-skin boot. The rest of the upper is made of skin-tight soft leather. There is a seam up the front of the foot. At a glance it appears as if Gomez is wearing soft leather tights with the pumps.
Schiaparelli has been a popular brand under the purview of Daniel Roseberry. This weekend, Tilda Swinton wore the brand to the Contenders Film festival. There she wore the company’s oversized beige suit with a brown suede gold-tipped boot. Others like Charlize Theron and Demi Moore have all worn the patent leather keyhole pumps. Moore wore them when she went to the SCAD Film Festival. Theron wore them to the 2024 Baby2Baby Gala.
In October, Taraji P. Henson wore a pair of statement making sandals from the company. They include gold molded toes as well as a massive bow on the ankle. She wore the shoes to Glamour’s 2024 Women of the Year Awards. She opted to not wear the bow but instead put the strappy design of the shoe on display.
That shoe is called the company’s Trompe L’oeil Toe Sandals. Schiaparelli has done quite a number of styles with the trompe l’oeil style shoes. They have included the company’s first sneaker. For spring 2025 there are also trompe l’oeil toe mule shoes in various colors.
