Get ready to feel nostalgic. Last night, Selena Gomez reunited with a Wizards of Waverly Place costar to celebrate the world premiere of Disney’s new spin-off series, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.

Arriving at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre, Gomez delivered a spellbinding fashion moment in a magnificent red midi dress—a custom piece from Rodarte—completely covered in glimmering crimson sequins. The strapless dress featured a geometric 3-D neckline, peplum, and a draped asymmetric hem. Gomez coordinated the look with slingback pointed-toe pumps in a metallic ruby red.

Gomez also made sure to pose with David Henrie, who played her older brother on the original Wizards of Waverly Place series. The actor wore a navy blue suit, paired with a white button-down and white sneakers.

In a 2023 guest appearance on Jennifer Stone and David DeLuise’s Wizards of Waverly Pod podcast, Gomez opened up about the transformative experience of rising to fame through the popular Disney Channel sitcom.

“I think I felt safe, and that’s a really hard thing for me to feel. I know that you guys love me for me,” she told Stone and DeLuise, who played her best friend and father, respectively, on the show. “You guys genuinely loved me, and that’s all I could have asked for, the unconditional trust and bond we had, I miss so much.” She continued, “I tell people all the time I’ve never had that feeling that I’ve had with the whole Wizards crew, not just you guys.”
