'Selling Sunset': Bre Tiesi's 'open relationship' with Nick Cannon causes stir
There's a new Oppenheim Group agent on the block, and she means business.
The fiery Breana ("Bre") Tiesi joins the sixth season of "Selling Sunset" (now streaming), Netflix’s reality show centered on a group of female real-estate agents listing properties in Los Angeles. Tiesi has famous clients – like rapper Saweetie, who makes an appearance – but it's her personal life that raises the perfectly arched eyebrows of fellow agent Chelsea Lazkani. Tiesi, once married to former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel, shares son Legendary, who turns 1 in June, with Nick Cannon. The "Masked Singer" host has fathered 12 children with six women.
In "Selling Sunset" Tiesi discusses her relationship with Cannon, how she feels about his expanding family and reflects on her past marriage.

Bre Tiesi’s 'open' relationship with Nick Cannon: 'My situation's interesting'
In "Sunset," Tiesi refers to Cannon as "my man" and calls him her best friend. But when she’s asked for her relationship status, she isn’t exactly sure how to respond.
"My situation’s interesting. I don’t know if I would say I’m single," she tells her officemates. "I’ve been in ― I don’t want to call it open, but open relationship, I guess."
Tiesi says she and Cannon agreed they aren't required to be faithful, and she isn’t interested in a more traditional relationship. "I'm not a monogamy kind of person," she says. "Everything I’ve ever seen is divorce, and people are unhappy and it ends badly, and the kids suffer. Men can't keep it together. It's never us."
Cannon told the Los Angeles Times in a profile published earlier this month that he decides which partner he'll spend the night with based on who he's recently been in contact with. "A lot of times it's whichever of them has called me that day, to be honest," he told the Times. "I am such a creature of habit. I like who like me."
Bre Tiesi's brief marriage to Johnny Manziel: 'I don’t trust anyone'
The Heisman Trophy winner proposed to Tiesi in 2017 and the two married the following year. Tiesi filed for divorce in 2019, and the split was finalized in 2021.
Tiesi accuses Manziel of being unfaithful and says in "Selling Sunset" that his infidelity exacerbated her trust issues. "After my marriage to Johnny Manziel, a former athlete, I think I definitely put up a wall," she says. Since then, "I don't trust anyone. I didn't trust them before, and I definitely don’t trust them now."
Bre Tiesi's surprise that Nick Cannon welcomed a daughter
Tiesi’s faith in men appears to suffer another blow when she learns (off camera) about the arrival of Cannon’s daughter with model LaNisha Cole. (Onyx Ice was born in September.)
Lazkani says she was with Tiesi when she learned the news. "She pulled up her phone, and she turned (a news story) to me," Lazkani says. "She was very surprised, and she was very upset."
Tiesi's feelings about the addition to the Cannon brood are complex, she tells colleague Amanza Smith.
"It's such a gray line, because it's like you already know that he has other relations. You already know that there's other kids," Tiesi says. "There’s a difference between lying and omitting, right? Because I don’t actually care."
Tiesi wishes she would’ve found out from Cannon instead. "But there’s no legal agreement. There’s no, 'You have to do X, Y and Z. You owe me this,'" she says. "We don't have any of that. I take care of myself, and if my son needs something or we need something, I can ask. That's all I have to do. I know he's a good dad, and Nick is not my sugar daddy. Nick is not my reason that I’m where I’m at."

Why Bre Tiesi and Chelsea Lazkani are fighting: 'The proliferation of kids in creating multiple broken homes is disgusting'
Tiesi and Lazkani butt heads on Tiesi’s first day in the office, and the tension only worsens. Tiesi doesn’t appreciate Lazkani's reaction to Cannon's baby news, and Lazkani can’t stop passing judgment on Tiesi’s family.
"I think the proliferation of kids in creating multiple broken homes is disgusting," Lazkani says. "There's no amount of time in the day that would allow Nick to see those 10-plus babies and give them the love and dedication they need."
Lazkani explains to fellow agent Emma Hernan that her feelings about Tiesi's relationship are influenced by her own upbringing. Her mom and siblings moved to the U.S. while she remained in the United Kingdom with her dad.
"I felt abandoned for many years, and I struggled," says Lazkani. "It was really hard."
Tiesi and Lazkani are unable to resolve their issues, and there's a heated blowout during the finale.
"My thing is you do not have to understand my relationship," Tiesi tells Lazkani. "Nobody does, because I don't (care) if they understand my relationship. This is my relationship. I go home to bed to him. You do not."
