September Letter’s Brittany Snow and Jaspre Guest Toasted at Backyard Party in L.A. with Anna Kendrick
Brittany Snow and Jaspre Guest did not let the month close without toasting the three-year anniversary of their mental health platform September Letters. They did so with the help of lifestyle website The Retaility and footwear brand Toms as the party partners teamed to host a backyard fete held at the Los Angeles home of entertainment journalist, host and podcaster Adrianna Costa.
Guests at the party included Snow’s Pitch Perfect costar Anna Kendrick, Kid Cudi, Haley Lu Richardson, Amanda Kloots, Paul Wesley, Courtney Eaton, Sam Richardson, Abigail Spencer, Francesca Reale, Elektra Kilbey, Chrissie Fit, Hilary Shor, Kelly McKee Zajfen, Jaclyn Johnson, Nikki DeLoach, mental health expert David Kessler and Toms chief brand and impact officer Amy Smith.

“We started September Letters to help people feel less alone through sharing their story,” said Snow in reference to the platform that started as a mental health awareness and letter writing experience and is now an online resource and book (that was released in May by HarperCollins). “It’s so important to know that people are there for each other. It’s about finding people that you align within a setting where you can connect. Sometimes you’re not sitting around talking about all of the things that are ailing you. Maybe you’re talking about fashion or art and you can form a connection that’s helpful within that space as well.”
Added Guest: “We couldn’t be more excited to have this opportunity to celebrate our book and the three-year anniversary of September Letters with The Retaility.”
Toms added style to many of the guest’s ensembles, including Snow (in the brand’s Clare boot), Guest (in the brand’s Evelyn boot in light sand), Daisy Jones and the Six author Taylor Jenkins Reid and The Retaility founder Lindzi Scharf. The evening had purpose for the website founder as the night also served as a celebration of the newest digital feature on none other than Snow. The actress, activist, author and first-time filmmaker is the subject of Scharf’s new piece which finds Snow opening up on her journeys, both personal and professional, and how she came to be an outspoken advocate of mental health.
“I look back at my early career and I think it’s funny that I have this persona of being bubbly,” Snow told Scharf. “As a teenager, that was my mechanism of trying to fight through some of the darkness that I was going through. Some of the best acting that I’ve ever done is being a person that people thought was so happy.”
Guests at the event certainly looked thrilled on a near-perfect L.A. night. The menu featured Sophie James Wine and BHN wine as well as dessert by Sweet Laurel Bakery and flowers by Abigail Spencer’s County Line Florals. Guests left with a curated tote that included unisex Toms sunglasses, ReVive Skincare products, wine from BHN Wine and Sophie James Wine, a wine club membership from Wines of Kings, September Letters and The Retaility’s signature journal.
