Serena Williams Shares the Sweetest Snuggle Sesh With Baby Daughter Adira
Serena Williams just shared a super sweet (if mildly stressful) update about what life looks like with 1-year-old daughter Adira. In the clip, the two are having one of those snuggle sessions that are part wrestling match (you know the kind), with Williams holding onto her secondborn and Adira intent on wriggling away. The little girl — after successfully “escaping” — eventually makes her way back to her mama’s chest before nearly bonking the tennis legend in the head.
“The best mornings with @adiraohanian,” Williams captioned the post. Because even if a head butt is on the line, nothing beats morning cuddles! (And yes, Adira already has her own Instagram with close to 39 thousand followers.)

“Awww. She’s growing so fast ??????,” one follower said of the curly-haired little girl Williams shares with husband Alexis Ohanian along with their 7-year-old daughter Olympia.
“Thank you for sharing this moment with us ??????,” another said.
Others couldn’t help but comment on Adira’s little game of push and pull. “Always beating up on ya Momma @adiraohanian!! ??????” “She’s got you on the ropes!! ??”
Last month, in honor of Adira’s 1st birthday, Williams shared never-before-seen photos from a maternity shoot that left our jaws on the floor. The carousel included three stunning photos — one of her draped in pink mesh, surrounded by flowers, one of her hanging in an aerial yoga hammock with her growing bump peeking through, and another with her holding an aerial hoop in one hand and her bump in the other. “[Adira River Ohanian] is a true light,” Williams wrote in her caption.
She then shared photos from the floral maternity shoot with Olympia alongside her and shared one of her biggest concerns. While pregnant the second time, she wondered, “How could I love anything as much as I love Olympia Ohanian?”
“Then Adira came along … she is so special, so fun, so funny, so loving, so sweet and so strong!!!” the proud mom wrote. “You see, God makes your heart get bigger. Because my love for Olympia has not dimmed. My heart simply now is doubled the size and I have a greater capacity to love more!”
While celebrating Adira’s birthday, Williams also shared more about her secondborn’s name.
“Adira is a girl’s name of Hebrew origin and means ‘mighty,’ ‘strong,’ and ‘majestic,’” the 23-time Grand Slam champion wrote. “The elegant name is popular in many cultures around the world … It is a Biblical name, meaning ‘Strong One.’”
And little Adira certainly is a “strong one” — wrestling her super fit mom while showing her a whole lot of love too.
