It’s been a minute, but “Severance” is almost back.

On Wednesday, Apple TV+ dropped the trailer for Season 2 of the Emmy-winning drama, which returns on Friday, Jan. 17, nearly three years after it premiered in February 2022. The trailer sees Mark (Adam Scott) frantically running through Lumon’s pristine white hallways intercut with quick snippets of Season 2 scenes. He eventually arrives at his old workspace, where a new group of people, including one played by Alia Shawkat, have replaced Helly (Britt Lower), Irving (John Turturro), and Dylan (Zach Cherry).

““Welcome back, Marcus,” Seth (Tramell Tillman) says, walking in with a handful of blue balloons with Mark’s face on them. “Been a minute.”

Apple TV+’s sci-fi drama follows Mark Stout, a worker who agrees to sever his life so that his “innie” (the version who works at Lumon Industries in the Macrodata Refinement division) and his “outie” (his home persona who’s grieving the death of his wife) never interact. When we last saw Mark in the Season 1 finale, his two lives were finally starting to become aware of each other, and he learned a shocking secret about his late wife.
