‘The Sex Lives of College Girls’ Among Screenings as Warner Bros. TV Partners With Boston Film Festival
Warner Bros. Television has partnered with the Boston Film Festival to launch a “WBTV College Day” at the 40th annual fest to screen a handful of new and returning series for area college students. The event, held on Thursday, Sept. 19, will feature advance episode screenings of new series “Brilliant Minds” (NBC) and “Rescue: HI-Surf” (Fox) as well as returning Max series “The Sex Lives of College Girls” (Max).
Those screenings will also feature panel discussions and Q&As for students.

“Brilliant Minds,” which stars Zachary Quinto as a neurologist who explores the human mind with his interns, will present an advance screening at Boston University. (The show premieres Sept. 23 on NBC).
Participating in the post-screening Q&A will be Tamberla Perry (“Dr. Carol Pierce”), Michael Grassi (executive producer and showrunner), DeMane Davis (executive producer and director) and Daniela Lamas (consulting oroducer and writer).
“Rescue: HI-Surf” will also launch with a special screening at Boston University. (It launches Sept. 22 on Fox).
The series, from John Wells and executive producer/writer/creator Matt Kester, centers personal and professional lives of the heavy-water lifeguards who patrol and protect the North Shore of O’ahu. The post-screening Q&A will include Robbie Magasiva (“Harlan Jennings ‘Sonny’”), Arielle Kebbel (Emily Wright ‘Em’”), Kekoa Scott Kekumano (“Laka Hanohano”), Alex Aiono (“Kainalu”) and Zoe Cipres (“Hina”.
“The Sex Lives of College Girls,” which returns for Season 3 this November on Max, will screen at Emerson College. The post-screening Q&A will include Justin Noble (co-creator, executive producer and showrunner), Sarah Tapscott (co-executive producer/writer), Beth Appel (co-producer/writer), Caroline Goldfarb (co-executive producer/writer) and Liz Barnes (casting director).
The 40th Boston Film Festival live program runs from Sept. 19 to Sept. 23.
