Billboard and TikTok have collaborated to create a new Top 50 songs chart, tracking the most popular music on the social media platform. Revealed on Thursday (Sept. 14), the new metric places rising rapper Sexyy Red at the top of the pack.

The St. Louis native’s viral track “SkeeYee” takes the top spot on the inaugural chart. She is followed by Doja Cat at No. 2 with “Paint The Town Red,” and Taylor Swift at No. 3 with “August.” NLE Choppa, Ice Spice, and Charlie Wilson help fill out the remaining top 10 spots.

“Skee Yee” is not Sexyy Red’s only appearance on the chart. The self-proclaimed “chosen one” counts three more placements; No. 19 with “Looking for the Hoes (Ain’t My Fault),” No. 27 for “Face Down” with McVertt and Ferg and she closes the list at No. 50 with “Mad At Me.”

“I am so excited that so many of my songs are charting on TikTok and Billboard’s new chart. I always knew I would be a No. 1 type of artist, so I want to thank all my fans on TikTok for running my music up! I’m just being me on TikTok and people love it,” expressed Sexyy Red in a press release.

The TikTok Billboard Top 50 Chart is the first official chart in the U.S. to monitor music discovery and engagement on the platform.  According to a statement, the chart is based on a combination of creations, video views, and user engagement by the U.S. TikTok community, and will be released weekly on Thursdays.

“We are thrilled to partner on the first Billboard chart on TikTok. At Billboard, we are constantly evolving our charts to reflect how fans engage with music and connect them more deeply with the artists they love,” detailed Mike Van, President of Billboard. “We see a clear opportunity to recognize the way music discovery on TikTok is shaping popular culture and are proud to offer this tool to the industry, while offering brands a new way to engage with music fans at scale. You’re not no. 1 until you’re no. 1 on Billboard.”
