What We Do in the Shadows to End With Season 6 at FX
The vampires of What We Do in the Shadows are heading back into their coffins for good: The FX comedy will end with the upcoming Season 6, TVLine has confirmed. (Vulture first reported the news.)
Shadows revolves around a group of vampires who live together in Staten Island and do their best to blend in with their human neighbors. The cast includes Kayvan Novak as Nandor, Matt Berry as Laszlo, Natasia Demetriou as Nadja, Harvey Guillén as human familiar Guillermo and Mark Proksch as energy vampire Colin Robinson.

Debuting in 2019 on FX, What We Do in the Shadows is based on the 2014 film starring Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement, with Waititi and Clement serving as executive producers on the series and appearing as guest stars as well. It has earned a number of Emmy nominations across five seasons, including nods for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2020 and 2022.
FX renewed What We Do in the Shadows for Season 6 in June 2022 as part of a two-season renewal. Season 5 wrapped up its 10-episode run this August. (Check out our season finale recap here.) A premiere date for the sixth and final season has not yet been announced.
