Shania Twain Warns Ryan Reynolds About Her Upcoming Project
Shania Twain is giving us all a great excuse to have a little fun on September 26! Although it must be noted that Ryan Reynolds has been warned.
NBC announced Shania Twain as the official host for the second annual People's Choice Country Awards show. In 2023, Little Big Town hosted the inaugural event and got fans excited to vote for their favorite country stars.
With decades of performance experience under her belt, Shania Twain knows how to work a crowd, and fans agreed NBC chose the right person for the job this year!
"Country has some of the most passionate fans in music and us artists are so lucky to be supported in doing what we love,” Shania said. “I am honored to host an award show that celebrates these awesome fans. Get ready for an unforgettable show with lots of big hair, glamour, rhinestones, hats, boots and incredible performances. Giddy Up!"
The event will air on NBC and stream on Peacock on Thursday, September 26, recorded live from the Grand Ole Opry. "Consider this your prerogative to have a little fun! ?? The one and only @shaniatwain is hosting the People’s Choice Country Awards on 9/26!," People's Choice announced on Instagram.
"Somebody give @vancityreynolds a heads up! ??," Shania commented on the post, tagging Ryan Reynolds. The country star is referring to her iconic performance of "That Don't Impress Me Much" at the 2022 People's Choice Awards. During the performance, Shania sang Ryan Reynold's name in place of Brad Pitt's, as a surprised Ryan Reynolds blushed from the crowd.
"So excited! ????" and "So ready!!!??," the Opry and NBC wrote in support. "Congratulations you deserve it so much??," and "marking my calendar like now," fans chimed in. "BEST CHOICE EVER!!!" and "LETS GOOOOOO GIRLS," other exclaimed.
Shania's confirmation as host is the first of many exciting announcements to come from the People's Choice Country Awards. We can't wait to see which country stars will join Shania on stage this year!
