Shaq Gives Kobe a Glimpse of His Future, and It Doesn’t Look Bright
Shaquille O’Neal visited Ellen on Thursday, and gave everyone a glimpse of what is in store for Kobe Bryant, now that he doesn’t have to go to work any more. Spoiler alert: It’s going to be pretty boring. Shaq remembered what it was like for him when he retired, and it apparently involved watching birds fly by his window and waving to his neighbor.
Even though Shaq and Kobe won a few championships together back in the early 2000s, the two were far from best friends. But now that they’re both old and retired they can fondly look back at their time together. Late Wednesday night, Shaq tweeted a short highlight reel of the two playing together back in the day with the comment, “The good times! Best 1-2 punch of all time! Thanks for the memories, Kobe.”
Shaq, of course, now spends his time as an analyst on TNT’s Inside the NBA, which is probably good because he jokingly told Ellen that his only hobby is sitting around watching TV, most notably her show. (True, there are definitely worse ways to spend your time.)
