DJ Diesel, aka Shaq, and Kaskade to perform at Indy 500 Snake Pit

Fans go crazy in the Snake Pit during the 106th running of the Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

May 26 update: Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials announced Friday evening that Shaquille O'Neal would no longer appear at Sunday's Indy 500 Snake Pit concert due to "scheduling complications" with the NBA season. Read more here.

Basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal and Grammy-nominated DJ Kaskade will lead the lineup for this year's Snake Pit at the Indianapolis 500.

Subtronics, John Summit and Jauz will join Kaskade and O'Neal, who performs under the name DJ Diesel. The 2023 Indy 500 Snake Pit presented by Coors Light will run throughout the morning of May 28 on the infield near Turn 3 of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval.

General admission and VIP tickets are on sale for $50 and $155 on the Speedway's website, www.ims.com. All ticketholders must be at least 18 years old and have a general admission ticket to the race. Admission to the race and the Snake Pit can be bundled for $90.

Ticket prices will increase as the Snake Pit nears, organizers said.

Kaskade, the event's headliner, previously played the Snake Pit in 2015.
