#ShareStrong is Kate Upton's way of building a social media support group
Kate Upton visited The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote the new social media campaign #ShareStrong. She started the hashtag to encourage people to share what makes them strong in the face of artificiality and adversity.
In her original post, Upton said, “I’m so excited about creating a community where we can all bond and motivate each other.”
Upton also shared her own motivation: “My #ShareStrong is my daughter, Vivi. She motivates me everyday to be the best mom I can be for her, to be my strongest self and set a good example.”
I’m strong for my daughter, I want her to feel comfortable to radiate strength, power and confidence. I realize that starts with me. Now I encourage you to join the conversation and share why you’re strong. #ShareStrong pic.twitter.com/YTgJzyKBc8

While explaining the movement to Fallon, Upton said, “It's just so important, you know with all of this fakeness going on, to remember who or what continues to motivate us to be our best, strongest self.”
Many celebrities are supporting Upton’s movement. Jessica Biel who posted a photo of herself with no makeup or filter to encourage self love and acceptance. And Behati Prinsloo Levine posted a photo about loving and working for her kids in spite of the sleepless nights, bleeding nipples, and other hardships.
Ultimately Upton hopes to create a social media network of support for people going through difficult times. She ended the interview saying, “Now you can scroll through and see all these people sharing these awesome inspiring stories so when we're not feeling our best, you can go through and read these stories and we can continue motivating and spreading this amazing positivity.“
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
