Shaun Robinson Leaves ‘Access Hollywood,’ Signs TV Deal With NBCUniversal
Host Shaun Robinson is leaving “Access Hollywood” after 16 years with the entertainment show. However, she’s staying in the NBCUniversal family, signing a television development deal with the company.
“I am going to miss all my friends here because we are truly like a family,” Robinson said in a press release. “Television has changed so much since I first sat at the anchor desk, and it’s time to take my career to the next level. There are so many more opportunities awaiting me, both on-camera and as a producer.”
Her production company, Robinhood Productions, whose projects focus on empowering young women, will develop and/or produce scripted and unscripted television projects for NBCU’s domestic distribution division.
“For 16 years Shaun Robinson has been an integral part of the success of ‘Access Hollywood,'” the show’s exec producer, Rob Silverstein, said. “Shaun has a tremendous ability to put stars at ease and always has had a special connection with our viewers. We wish Shaun success and happiness as she moves into this new, exciting phase of her career.”
Robinson, has co-anchored “Access Hollywood Weekend” and been a correspondent for “Access Hollywood” since 1999.
