“She Didn’t Like That”: People Are Playfully Roasting Rita Ora After She Made An Interviewer’s Question About Taika Waititi All About Herself
You know Rita Ora and Taika Waititi.
The pair first met in 2018, though they didn’t start dating until 2021. A year later, Rita proposed to Taika, and it was later confirmed that they quietly got married that same year.
Recently, the couple stepped out at the 2024 Emmy Awards together.
At one point on the red carpet, Rita was asked about Taika during a chat with E! News. The reporter said, “Can we talk about your man for a minute? Because how the hell did you find one that talented, that handsome… I mean, you must look at him and be inspired every day. And same with him.”
Rita replied, “True, and we actually inspire each other.”
“You know, with me coming from music and him being a writer and a director and a filmmaker… it’s a house full of ideas. And we’re both fire signs, too, so it’s just like, fire fire fire,” she said.
Another E! reporter then quipped that Rita and Taika must be “laughing all the time,” to which the singer said, “I am the funny one. I just wanna let you all know that.”
“We help each other out, you know what I’m saying,” she added.
Since the interview clip was shared on TikTok, several users have playfully roasted Rita for making the question about Taika “about herself.”
“Ah she didn't like that,” one person wrote alongside several laughing emojis. “Oooh she did not like that did she,” someone echoed.
“Why is it so hard to hype up your man without bringing it back to you each time,” one person questioned, while another candidly observed, “She made that about herself lol.”
Meanwhile, some users jokingly compared the clip with Victoria Justice’s infamous “I think we ALL” meme. If you’re unaware, Victoria sparked backlash — and a heap of internet jokes — in 2013 after she responded to her Victorious cast members branding Ariana Grande and Liz Gillies the singers of the group with, “I think we ALL sing.”
