Sicario star Emily Blunt was on The Howard Stern Show Wednesday and revealed something you definitely won’t be seeing in the drug-war thriller that’s in theaters now: her breasts. Blunt told Stern that she successfully lobbied to skip the scene that would’ve had her topless opposite Benicio del Toro’s hitman character.
“We didn’t agree with it,” the 32-year-old actress told Stern, jokingly referring to her breasts in the royal “we.” “My t–s!… We’re not doing it!” she added with a laugh. She received some needed reinforcements from her co-star to get the scene dropped. “Benicio [Del Toro] backed me up.”

As for intimate scenes Blunt actually went through with, she also dished some details on awkward love scenes. Stern asked whether an actor had ever become aroused while filming a love scene with her. "Once,” she admitted, without revealing the poor guy’s identity, only specifying that he wasn’t that famous. “I think the reaction was, we were filming and they shouted, ‘Cut,’ and I went, 'Oop!’ and he went, 'Oop! Sorry.’ And that was it … We laughed about it, because I don’t want him to be embarrassed. I think that would be unfair if I was like, 'Oh my God!’”
Another movie secret she revealed: a real-life encounter that made it into her 2006 breakout film The Devil Wears Prada. In order to play the conniving magazine assistant, she observed other people being generally horrible to pick up their worst traits. During filming, Blunt said she witnessed a mother yelling at her child in a supermarket, saying — while opening and closing her hand like a puppet — “Yeah, I’m hearing this and I want to hear this.” She lifted the gesture and the line for the movie, and it gets quoted back to her to this day.
