A new champion will be crowned at NWA Hard Times.

On the March 19 episode of NWA Powerrr, “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason relinquished the NWA National Heavyweight Championship and stated that he was coming after EC3’s world title. Billy Corgan then announced that a tournament would crown the new champion. Eight men will compete in a series of four singles matches, leading to a four-way match for the gold at Hard Times.

Burchill, Thom Latimer, “Magic” Jake Dumas, Carson Drake, AJ Cazana, Blake Troop, Bryan Idol, and Zyon were announced for the tournament. In the main event of Powerrr, Troop beat Idol to qualify for the title match.
