Simone Biles Makes a Bold Prediction About Bonding With Taylor Swift During NFL Games

Simone Biles and Taylor Swift are at the top of their respective games, and when it comes to their love lives, they share another commonality—they’re both NFL WAGs.

The acronym WAGs, which stands for “wives and girlfriends,” typically refers to the romantic partners of professional athletes, and part of being in that club means socializing with other WAGs, usually for the team, but sometimes it could be for the larger league or sport.

And now, Biles has made a recent admission about the likelihood of her and Swift bonding over their football-playing significant others that could surprise fans.

Biles, whose husband Jonathan Owens plays safety for the Chicago Bears, told Access Hollywood on Oct. 23 that even though Swift has been spotted supporting her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, at several of his games, the two superstars haven’t had a chance to bond.

“I’m currently on tour,” she said, noting that “unfortunately” she has “missed a lot of games but as soon as we finish" the tour she’ll be back in the stands supporting her man.

The gymnast, who used a Swift song for part of her floor routine at the Paris Olympics, then teased that though she and Swift may cross paths by being at the same game sometime in the future, “you usually don’t bond with opponents.”

In August, Swift surprised fans when she narrated a promotional video for the Olympics featuring Biles, track and field athlete Sha'Carri Richardson and swimmer Katie Ledecky. As footage of the three Olympians competing in their sports played across the screen to Swift's song "Style" playing in the background, the singer could be heard over the clips.

"Never be afraid to show them who you are...especially when the whole world is watching," she said in her encouraging message. "You do what you love, love what you do. You believe in your style, whatever it is," she continued before ending with "Katie, Sha'Carri, Simone. Three American stars. Three different visions of greatness. Tonight, in Paris."
