Simone Biles Reveals Her 'Struggle' With Shopping for Clothes in Transparent Update: 'So Hard'

Simone Biles made being a top athlete look easy while breaking records at the Olympics in Paris, France this year, as she took home multiple medals. But recently, she opened up about a relatable struggle in her everyday life.

On Monday, Aug. 26, Biles posted on her Instagram Story about how much trouble she has finding pants in her size when shopping for clothes.

She shared a photo of Abercrombie & Fitch pants in size 23 or 000, per Us Weekly, writing over it, "Before y’all complain that nothing fits y’all, I want y’all to see my struggle."

She continued, “So hard to find bottoms that fit me ??but when I do find them … my heart."

At only 4 feet 8 inches tall, Biles is shorter than average, which likely factors into her difficulties when shopping for clothes. She also has some impressive muscles, and this can limit options for some as well.

In the past, Biles spoke about her body image issues, especially when it came to her muscular arms. She told Today, "I've learned to love my muscles a lot more than when I was younger, because I got made fun of a lot for them."

The Olympian credited her fellow gymnasts as helping her confidence grow, specifically naming U.S. Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, who competed in both 2012 and 2016, as someone who helped her "learn to love how I look."

"To me, healthy body image is when you feel confident with yourself—inside and out," she concluded.

During the 2024 Olympics, Biles also mentioned learning to love her hair, calling out people who tried to criticize how it looked during performances, saying, "Next time you wanna comment on a black girls hair. JUST DON’T."

Biles took home four medals at the 2024 Olympics and it remains to be seen whether or not she will compete in Los Angeles in 2028.
