Simone Biles Shines in Metallic Dress and Debuts Bob Haircut at 2024 CMA Awards
Simone Biles took to the red carpet at the 58th Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday, held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The Olympic gymnast, a presenter at this year’s ceremony, opted for a sleek metallic gown that showcased her modern style.
Biles wore a silver one-shoulder dress featuring a gathered detail across the bodice and a floor-length silhouette, creating a streamlined effect. The metallic fabric caught the light, adding dimension and movement to the design. She complemented the ensemble with black pointed-toe heels and minimal accessories, allowing the gown to take center stage. Biles completed the look with natural makeup and a glossy nude lip, while her newly debuted shorter hairstyle added a fresh touch.

The metallic trend has been a prominent feature this year, specifically in the spring 2024 collections, with designers like Alberta Ferretti, Balmain, and Carolina Herrera incorporating shimmering silver and gold into their collections. From structured eveningwear to flowing gowns, metallics have continued to dominate both high fashion and red carpet appearances, making them a fitting choice for a celebratory evening like the CMA Awards.
This appearance comes shortly after Biles’ historic success at the 2024 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp. She secured two gold medals in the individual all-around and team competition categories, competing alongside teammates Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Hezly Rivera, and Jade Carey.
The 57th Annual CMA Awards, hosted by Luke Bryan, Peyton Manning and Lainey Wilson, celebrates country music stars’ achievements in the genre. Morgan Wallen is nominated for seven awards, including Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. Performers for the evening include Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton and Post Malone, among others.
