'Simpsons' take shots at Trump and Kanye in new 'Treehouse of Horror' episode
The Simpsons celebrated its 31st annual “Treehouse of Horror” special on Sunday night. But while the episode featured its usual horror spoof based on pop culture, this year, it also got quite political.
The long-running series has roasted many presidents in the past, usually in subtle and good natured ways. This episode was not subtle, however, as it highlighted 50 reasons why people shouldn’t vote for Trump.
The list of reasons included, “Called Mexicans rapists”; “Put children in cages”; “Gutted the E.P.A”; “Withdrew from W.H.O.”; “Called third world countries s***holes”; “Destroyed democracy.”

The overwhelming majority of viewers on Twitter thought it was hilarious that the show listed some of the president’s actions, but not everyone was laughing. One viewer wrote, “It’s gonna be crazy if Trump wins especially since we are bombarded day in and day out with anti-Trump propaganda. Even The Simpsons is in on the bulls*** If you can’t see through this you’re a brainless zombie.”
Roger Stone character on The Simpsons. OMG
Now they’re listing all the bad things Trump did the last four years.

Beyond listing 50 reasons why viewers shouldn’t vote for Trump, the episode also showed a campaign sign that read “Trump-Putin.” There was also a character very similar in appearance to Trump’s former advisor Roger Stone, and he was trying to interfere with people’s right to vote.
Trump wasn’t the only presidential candidate who was mentioned in the special. The series also implied that a vote for Kanye West would result in Trump being re-elected. A character is kicked by a large robot wearing a presidential shield. As the character is flying through the air, you can hear him yell, “That’s what I get for voting for Kanye!”
The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
