Singer-songwriter Steve Forbert to play Babeville ahead of new album release

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Steve Forbert will be in Buffalo on Sunday for a show at Babeville.

Forbert, known for his second album, “Jackrabbit Slim,” which produced the Billboard hit “Romeo’s Tune,” is now preparing to release his 21st album, “Daylight Savings Time.” The singles “Purple Toyota” and “Sound Existence” are streaming now, with music videos published to Forbert’s YouTube channel. The full record will debut on Sept. 20.

“Daylight Savings Time” is packed with soothing rhythms, with Forbert reminiscing on days past. The record uses elements from nature and the changing of seasons to convey Forbert’s message, and as the title conveys, the desire to preserve the present moment while it lasts.

Buffalo artist Davey O. will be opening for Forbert at his Babeville show. Tickets are available at this link.
