Skrillex, Fred Again SF rave Saturday expected to draw 20K people

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A rave being thrown by EDM DJs Skrillex and Fred Again Saturday in San Francisco is expected to draw 20,000 people, according to the SFMTA. Skrillex announced the event last week in a tweet, saying, “Fred and I have way too much new music we need to test out so we’re going to throw a rave in San Francisco next week.”

The rave, which is set for Saturday, June 1, is already sold out, according to Another Planet Entertainment, the promoter behind the event. Doors for the outdoor event at San Francisco Civic Center Plaza open at 5 p.m. with the show scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.

H Mart to open first location in East Bay

There will be a number of street closures and Muni service changes, according to SFMTA.

  • Grove between Polk and Larkin: 6 a.m., Tuesday, May 28 to 4 p.m., Monday June 3

  • Polk between McAllister and Hayes: 6 a.m., Thursday, May 30 to 4 a.m., Monday, June 3

  • Fulton between Larkin and Hyde: 6 a.m. Friday, May 31 to 4 a.m., Sunday, June 2

  • Larkin between Hayes to McAllister: 7 p.m., Friday, May 31 to 4 a.m., Sunday, June 2

  • Grove between Larkin and Hyde: 7 p.m., Friday, May 31 to 4 a.m., Sunday, June 2

  • Grove between Van Ness and Polk: 7 p.m., Friday, May 31 to 4 a.m., Sunday, June 2

Skrillex, Fred Again SF Muni service changes:

  • 19 Polk: 6 p.m. Friday to 11 p.m. Sunday

  • 19 Polk to Hunters Point: 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday

  • 21 Hayes to Civic Center (Switchback): 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday

  • 21 Hayes to the Inner Richmond (Switchback): 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday

  • 21 Hayes to Civic Center (Reroute): All hours of service, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday

  • 21 Hayes to Inner Richmond (Reroute): All hours of service, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday

The event is due to end by 10 p.m., according to SFMTA.
