Slim Thug Asks Fans If He Has A Chance With Megan Thee Stallion
Slim Thug is interested in providing the world with a modern-day Houston love story. The 43-year-old rapper asked his fans if he had a chance to court Megan Thee Stallion.
The Houston Hottie had two sold-out shows in her hometown last week as part of her Hot Girl Summer tour, and decided to bring out the “Check On It” rapper on Friday evening (June 14). He performed his classic record “Still Tippin’,” a 2005 hit alongside Mike Jones and Paul Wall.
Thug shared footage of his performance on Instagram after the show and decided it was the opportune time to shoot his shot. “What yall think I got a chance or naw?” he asked with smiling face and sunglasses emojis.
Slim Thug’s question prompted a variety of responses. “She called you sugar daddy slim,” one fan commented with fire emojis. “Dreams do come true huh?” the official Visit Houston Instagram page asked with a glossy eyed emoji, laughing emoji, “H’s up” emoji,” and fire emoji.
“I ain’t ever see you look nervous till last night,” Houston rapper Le$ wrote in the comments with laughing emojis. “This is good news,” Willie D commented, possibly referencing Megan Thee Stallion’s 2020 debut album Good News. “Bruh ask for some blood pressure pills last night,” another fan wrote with laughing emojis.
One fan took Thug’s inquiry very seriously and gave him some advice. “If you not gonna treat our good sis like the Black, majestic queen she is…then let her be. If gonna act right, then u have our blessing. She’s been through enough!”
Megan Thee Stallion made it a special night for Houston overall, as she brought out other local luminaries. Lil Keke came out to perform “Southside” and Bun B performed “Int’l Player’s Anthem (I Choose You).” During her show in Austin a few days prior, Meg brought out Paul Wall.
The Hot Girl Summer tour has been a rousing success, especially her stop in New York. Cardi B joined the “Savage” rapper and GloRilla, ahead of the trio sharing their remix to “Wanna Be.” Meg and Glo also had footage go viral of them doing a dance contest with Latto and Flo Milli backstage at another show. Days later, they released a remix to the Atlanta rapper’s “Sunday Service.”
This is the proper hype for the three-time Grammy winner’s forthcoming album Megan. So far, she has shared the singles “Hiss,” “Cobra,” and “Boa.” The LP is set to come out on Friday, June 28th, marking just under two years since her last album Traumazine.
