‘SNL’ Promo: Ariana Grande Wants Nothing Wicked, Cast Has Other Ideas

This week’s SNL guest host Ariana Grande has just one request for her second time in Studio 8H: Nothing wicked.

Alas, her cast mates for the week had other ideas.

In this week’s Saturday Night Live promo, Grande attends a pitch meeting with cast members Devon Walker, Michael Longfellow, Marcello Hernández and Andrew Dismukes and lays down her one rule: No sketches about Wicked or The Wizard of Oz.

The SNL gang clearly has other thoughts. Check out the promo above.

In the upcoming Wicked musical film – Part 1 is set for theatrical release on November 22 – Grande plays Galinda, who later becomes the Glinda the Good Witch (opposite Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba, soon to be the Wicked Witch of the West).

Grande is returning for her second time as SNL host, with musical guest Stevie Nicks back for her second time – and her first in more than 30 years.

SNL airs Saturday at 11:30pm ET/8:30pm PT on NBC and streams live on Peacock.
