‘SNL’ Roasts Kamala’s Glock and Joker Being a ‘Gay Guy Obsessed With Lady Gaga’ in ‘Family Feud’ Cold Open
“Saturday Night Live” brought the Democrats and Republicans into a hilarious game of “Family Feud,” hosted by Kenan Thompson’s Steve Harvey.
Maya Rudolph’s Kamala Harris, Jim Gaffigan’s Tim Walz, Andy Samberg’s Doug Emhoff and Dana Carvey’s Joe Biden went up against James Austin Johnson’s Donald Trump, Mikey Day’s Donald Trump Jr. and Bowen Yang’s J.D. Vance in the cold open.

Thompson asked for the contestants to name something they keep in their glove compartment, to which Rudolph answered with “a Glock” — making fun of Harris’ recent viral interview moment.
“Steve, look, I was raised in a middle-class family. My mother raised my sister and me. She worked hard and saved up, and we had a second mother, too. A small business owner named Ms. Shelton,” Rudolph’s Harris said. When prompted again for an answer, she quipped, “Oh, a Glock, Steve. A big ol’ Glock.”
Another hilarious moment came during Bowen’s introduction of himself as Vance, when he blamed the liberals for the failure of “Joker 2” and called Joaquin Phoenix’s character a “gay guy who’s obsessed with Lady Gaga.”
“Steve, can I just say it’s so refreshing to be on a show that celebrates families. Unlike the Democrats who turned out hero the Joker into a gay guy who’s obsessed with Lady Gaga,” Yang said.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of “Saturday Night Live,” which premiered almost exactly half a century ago on Oct. 11, 1975. Also commemorating the anniversary is the new movie “Saturday Night,” about that very first broadcast of NBC’s most popular show. The 50th season kicked off on Sept. 28 with host and recent Emmy winner Jean Smart and musical guest Jelly Roll, followed by comedian Nate Bargatze and Coldplay the week after. Upcoming hosts and musical acts include Michael Keaton with Billie Eilish and John Mulaney with Chappell Roan.
