Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are dropping product like it’s hot with the release of a new gin brand called Still G.I.N.

The name of the new alcohol brand plays off the duo’s iconic song, “Still D.R.E.,” and arrives almost 25 years to the date of that song’s release. Officially titled Still G.I.N. By Dre and Snoop, the ultra-premium gin marks the duo’s second offering following the successful launch of the Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop canned cocktail earlier this year.
Still G.I.N. By Dre and Snoop
According to a release, Still G.I.N. is a light and smooth take on a classic gin, with notes of tangerine, jasmine, and coriander. The result is something that retails the botanical mouthfeel of a traditional gin, but with a more citrus-forward flavor profile. Floral and spice are more subtle, rather than dominating the main palate.
Bottled at 85 proof (42.5% ABV), the brand says the gin is designed for “both gin enthusiasts and newcomers alike,” with a liquid that is suitable for sipping and cocktails.
The gin is housed inside a specially-designed honeycomb bottle and is available to purchase now on sites like TotalWine.com.
Dre and Snoop were heavily involved in the creation of the gin, with both artists saying they wanted to put their stamp on everything from the taste of the liquid to the packaging and marketing. The two aren’t just ambassadors for Still G.I.N. either — both of them have signed on as brand owners.
Dr. Dre says he harnessed the same motivation and work ethic for the gin that he had with his bestselling Beats by Dre headphones. “This is not a liquor that we’re just putting our name on,” Dre explains, in a release. “It’s just like we did with Beats headphones. Everything is us from the ground up: the gin, the flavor, the packaging… Everything had to be perfect.”
“Every day in the studio when Dre and I were trying to make the dopest music, we were drinking gin and just having fun,” adds Snoop Dogg. “We’ve been a part of the evolution of this gin – from the creation of the flavor, to the percentage of alcohol that’s in it – and it’s just so good! Dre’s a perfectionist: he wants to make sure it’s not just good, but great. Together, we ain’t gonna do nothing regular!”
Gin & Juice (Four-Pack)
The new gin comes on the heels of Gin & Juice, a canned cocktail launched by Dre and Snoop earlier this year.
Available now at Total Wine, this “melon” version features Still G.I.N., watermelon and hibiscus, with a 5.9% ABV. Each can is approximately 12 ounces in size.
