Snowpiercer Season 4 Release Fast-tracked! Final Episodes to Hit AMC This Summer
Snowpiercer‘s farewell season will be pulling into the station a lot sooner than expected.
TVLine has learned that Season 4 of the dystopian drama — previously earmarked for an “early 2025” release — instead will premiere exclusively on AMC and AMC+ Sunday, July 21, at 9/8c.

Yes, as in this July.
AMC has also confirmed that Seasons 1 and 2 of Snowpiercer will be available to stream exclusively on AMC+ beginning Saturday, June 1, with the third season landing Saturday, June 8.
“We can’t wait to share the final season of this thrill ride of a series with this vibrant fan community and new viewers starting July 21,” Courtney Thomas, EVP of Streaming for AMC Networks, said in a statement. “Snowpiercer is an entertaining drama with a great cast and seeing how the ride ends will be a highlight of summer viewing worthy of a 1001-car train.”
Snowpiercer‘s original home, TNT, greenlit Season 4 in July 2021, six months before Season 3 made it to air. Five months later, the cabler announced that Season 4 would conclude the sci-fi series’ “successful, multi-season run.” Seasons 1-3 were subsequently scrubbed from Max.
At the time that TNT derailed Snowpiercer, the network said in statement, “This was a difficult decision, but our admiration for the talented writers, actors and crew who brought Snowpiercer’s extraordinary post-apocalyptic world to life remains strong. We have been working collaboratively with the producers since last year to help the series find a new home where fans can continue to enjoy the compelling story and exceptional visual experience. We look forward to working with them on future projects.”
When AMC ultimately rode to the rescue in March, Season 4 showrunner Paul Zbyszewski said: “We’re so thrilled the train has finally found a home, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone at AMC and Tomorrow Studios for giving the fans of Snowpiercer a chance to enjoy Season 4 with all the hard work this amazing cast and crew put into it.”
New for Season 4 are Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. favorite Clark Gregg and The Americans‘ Michael Aronov in undisclosed roles. Additionally, Zbyszewski (Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Helstrom) took over as showrunner, succeeding EPs Graeme Manson and Aubrey Nealon.
