‘Sobbing’ Fans Are Convinced Taylor Swift Is ‘Mad in Love’ After Special Eras Tour Song Mashup
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce haven’t exactly been hiding their feelings for each other, but fans believe the pop superstar just revealed how much she really cares for the NFL star during her latest onstage song mashup.
As eagle-eyed concertgoers noticed during Swift’s Eras Tour show on Thursday, July 18, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was in the audience for his girlfriend’s second consecutive night at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. He also attended her first show in Gelsenkirchen on Wednesday to the delight of the power couple’s fans.
When it came time to tackle the song mashup section of her performance on Thursday, the 14-time Grammy Award winner stunned fans with the way she melded two particular songs. While singing “this is me trying” from her 2020 album folklore and “Labyrinth” from 2022’s Midnights, she blended some of the words from each to create one sweet statement: “I just wanted you to know I’m falling in love again.”
The artistic decision left many Swifties melting down online after fan accounts shared video clips of the performance on social media.

“She’s so mad in love ????,” one fan gushed on X, formerly Twitter, as another agreed that Swift is “so in love this is insane.”
“SHES SO IN LOVE WITH TRAVIS,” another fan chimed in.
“Girl I’m going to be crying for the next 3-5 business days,” one X user declared while another “sobbing” fan shared, “i was already crying now im crying even more.”
Some fans noted how “personal” the performance they’d witnessed had been, while others praised the “Cruel Summer” songstress for “loving loudly.”
“I call tonight’s mashups ‘Travis I’m ready to get married to you,’” one fan declared.
Kelce has attended several of Swift’s Eras Tour shows during the NFL offseason, though fans predict that sightings of him singing and dancing along in the crowd will become more rare as he prepares for the Chiefs’ 2024 season. He is expected to travel back to the U.S. for his team’s training camp this weekend, with the Chiefs’ first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars scheduled to take place on August 10.
Swift will meanwhile continue traveling for her Eras Tour shows, with additional dates in Germany scheduled to take her through the end of July before she travels to Poland in early August.
