Soleil Moon Frye and Jason Goldberg 'quietly separated' following two decades of marriage
Soleil Moon Frye and Jason Goldberg have split after more than 20 years of marriage.
A rep for the actress, who rose to stardom as the titular character in the '80s sit-com "Punky Brewster," confirmed the split to USA TODAY Monday, explaining the two "quietly separated this year."
The statement provided by Rachel Karten added the former couple's "priority will continue to be their four beautiful children as they move forward with love and compassion.”
Frye, 44, and the producer whose credits include the film "The Butterfly Effect" and the celebrity prank television show "Punk'd," wed in 1998. They are parents to Poet Sienna Rose, 15, Jagger Joseph Blue, 12, Lyric Sonny Roads, 6, and Story, 4.

Frye and Goldberg, 48, previously renewed their vows in 2008 in a ceremony that left quite the impression on the former child star. “Besides the days my children were born – and my first wedding – it was the best night of my life,” Frye told People magazine of the renewal.
In June, Frye celebrated Goldberg with a series of photos shared to Instagram, wishing him a "Happy happy fathers day!!! A lot of babies and a whole lot of love. Xx"
Similar to real life, Frye will portray a single mom in the "Punky Brewster" revival coming to Peacock. "In this continuation of the iconic 80s sitcom about a bright young girl raised by a foster dad, Punky (Soleil Moon Frye) is now a single mother of three trying to get her life back on track when she meets Izzy (Quinn Copeland), a young girl in the foster system who reminds Punky a lot of her younger self," reads a description for the series on NBCUniversal's press site.
