Sonja Morgan talks being 'treated like crap' by Luann de Lesseps on 'RHONY' reunion (Exclusive)
Sonja Morgan was stunned when she realized that Luann de Lesseps didn't know where her daughter is going to college.
During the recent third part of "The Real Housewives of New York" reunion, in an effort to highlight her claim that Luann has been in her own world this past season, Bethenny Frankel asked the countess if she knew where Morgan's daughter, who doesn't appear on the show, was going to college.
When she didn't know, Sonja and the rest of her cast mates were visibly stunned on the reunion. While promoting her Fiber One "Work Done" music video alongside fellow Real Housewives Porsha Williams and Melissa Gorga, Sonja opened up to AOL's Gibson Johns about the moment, saying that "everyone else knew."
"Bethenny was texting me five times the day you find out [if you got in or not]," Sonja said. "All the girls knew when we didn’t find out during early admissions, and they were on me like all the time [asking about it]. Luann didn’t even know. That’s where she was. Everyone knew, even Melissa [Gorga] asked me!"

"It was every day of my life last year, and I actually fell apart a little bit and felt like Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall and needs to be put back together again. When you’re a mom and go through you kid taking the SATs and applying to college, you blame yourself. If the kid doesn’t get into college, the moms blame themselves forever."
Later in the conversation with AOL, Porsha said that "sometimes the best way to move on is to sweep it under the rug," which Sonja completely agreed with, especially when it related to her years-long friendship with Luann.
"I do that all the time with Luann!" she laughed.
Overall, Sonja said that "Luann was amazingly Luann" on this season's reunion: "She went from countess to cabaret star, and she was in protection mode protecting her sobriety. Basically, we all got treated like crap!"
Sonja, who joined "The Real Housewives of New York" in season 3, also added that the reunion highlighted how hard it can be for new people to be added to the long-running show's cast.
"We’re all really good friends, and it’s a little like Jersey where it’s hard to bring in new people," she explained. "With Barbara [Kavovit] and Tinsley [Mortimer], it’s hard to acclimate them, but I thought Tinsley had a great season last season. I was sorry Barbara didn’t get a bigger bite of the apple. She got a late start in there, and that was sad."
One person from the cast of "RHONY" who continues to be actively involved in Sonja's life is Bethenny, who showered her co-star with praise after her "Work Done" music video, filmed to highlight Fiber One's newly "re-done" brownies, dropped last week.

"Bethenny said, 'I don’t give compliments often, but this is the real deal,'" Sonja laughed, before going on to praise her music video co-stars for their support during their video shoot in Mexico City.
"Melissa Gorga does not do music videos unless they’re the real deal!" she said. "I’m more the comedian, but they were really the bomb. They were so supportive. Everybody asked me what it was like working with them and I’m like, 'We’re women supporting women, we’re moms supporting moms!' We support each other in every way."
"We're inspiring women to be the best they can be and don’t be shy about the little bit of work they’ve had done," she added of the project. "Fiber One is out there being honest, like, ‘Hey, we’ve gotten a little work done!’ I was always saying that the bar was fine and people have been eating it for 15-plus years, but it’s even better now, and I feel the same way: Everyone’s been snacking on this for a long time, but it’s even better now with a little work done."
