Soon-Yi Previn and Woody Allen claim Hillary Clinton returned campaign donation over molestation allegations
Soon-Yi Previn’s interview with New York magazine in defense of husband, Woody Allen — the former longtime boyfriend of her adoptive mother, Mia Farrow — has caused quite the social media storm since it was published Sunday night.
The 47-year-old Previn, who told the magazine she was a college freshman when her affair with Allen began, accused Farrow of being an abusive parent and refuted her sister Dylan Farrow’s allegations that Allen molested her when she was a child.
Meanwhile, Dylan and her brother, Ronan Farrow, have issued statements slamming the “bizarre fabrications” in the “hit job.” Others have criticized the piece because it was written by Daphne Merkin, a longtime friend of Allen’s who has previously expressed doubt about the #MeToo movement.
A reference to Hillary Clinton is also grabbing attention. According to Merkin’s piece, the Annie Hall director claims the former presidential candidate “unceremoniously returned” a campaign contribution they sent her.
Clinton’s alleged rejection of Allen in the midst of her campaign against Donald Trump, who has been accused of sexual misconduct, is earning praise from her supporters.

Just read that the Hillary Clinton campaign quietly returned a donation from Woody Allen in 2016. Woody said so himself. I’m with her.

Others, however, are unimpressed, noting that Clinton was still professionally linked to Harvey Weinstein, whose widespread allegations of sexual misconduct were exposed last fall — in part by Ronan Farrow himself. Clinton later issued a statement saying she was “shocked and appalled” by the charges against Weinstein.
But instead we got months about Weinstein but ok.
