Sophie Turner’s New Chapter After Joe Jonas Divorce Did Not Happen the Way She Expected, Says Source
The last year has been tough for Sophie Turner amid her split from Joe Jonas and their subsequent child custody fight over their daughters, Willa, 3, and Delphine, 18 months. But, just as the former couple was sorting things out, the Game of Thrones star found a very bright light that she wasn’t necessarily looking for during a dark time in her life.
British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson entered her life at just the right time. The duo met through mutual friends which was a bonus for Turner because she had “a level of familiarity with him that makes her feel comfortable,” according to an Us Magazine source. There was “an immediate spark when they first started dating” in the fall of 2023, but it’s more than just the “physical attraction” between them. The insider added, “Perry treats Sophie with nothing but respect and he makes her laugh, which is also so important to her.”

The new romance was so unexpected for Turner because she had just announced her split from her husband of four years. Even though she and Jonas called it a “united decision” in their joint statement, it was clear that they weren’t seeing eye to eye behind the scenes. She sued her ex with claims that he wasn’t letting their children travel to her U.K. with her and the two sides played out the mess in the press. They finally reached a temporary custody agreement in October that allows their daughters to travel between the U.S. and the U.K. to see their parents.
Turner just went Instagram official (well, sort of) with Pearson by tagging him in a series of ski vacation snapshots. It looked like a double date with another couple, so it might be pretty hard to deny a relationship at this point. Jonas has also apparently moved on with model Stormi Bree, but his dating confirmation might be a ways off — sister-in-law Priyanka Chopra recently deleted an Instagram Story that reportedly included Jonas’ new girlfriend.
Jonas and Turner seem to be moving past their former marriage and enjoying the company of their new loves — a fresh chapter for them both in 2024. They have, hopefully, put the negativity behind them as they look ahead to the future with their unexpected romantic partners.
