Jonas filed for divorce on Tuesday after four years, citing that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken,” according to public documents that were obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.

Rumors that the Game of Thrones star and the musician were headed for a split began circulating over the weekend amid reports that Jonas had retained a divorce lawyer. Later, however, Jonas was spotted wearing his wedding ring after being photographed without it a couple of weeks prior. He also posted a photo on his Instagram with his wedding ring visible amid the rumors.

THR has reached out to Jonas’ lawyer, as well as reps for him and Turner.

Jonas and Turner tied the knot in Las Vegas in May of 2019 and again with a more formal ceremony in France the following month. They began dating in 2016 after mutual friends encouraged them to meet.

The pair welcomed their first daughter, Willa, in July 2020, and their second, whose name they haven’t yet announced, in July 2022.

The dissolution of marriage document states the pair will split custody, noting, “it is in the best interests of the minor children that the parties have shared parental responsibility.”
