Sopranos star Drea de Matteo opens up about how OnlyFans saved her home from foreclosure
Celebrities are not exempt from facing dire financial scenarios.
This time, "The Sopranos" star Drea de Matteo opens up about how her OnlyFans account saved her home from foreclosure.
"It saved us," she told DailyMail in an exclusive interview. "OnlyFans saved my life, 100 per cent. I can't believe I'm saying that, but it really did save us," she continued.
After the television actor found herself with mounting debts and only $10 on her bank account, she decided to create an adults content account on OnlyFans last August. Instantly, she knew it was a good idea.
"I was like, holy sh*t. In five minutes, I was able to pay back compass real estate who kept the sale of my house," she told DailyMail.
According to the interview, de Matteo, 52, refused to get a COVID-19 vaccine which barred her from acting jobs. Debts grew astronomically and she was about to lose her house, where she lives with her two children.
"I did it, but I didn't want to do it," she told DailyMail. "I got a lot of heat for doing it and it went f*cking viral and people went nuts."

While she was reluctant at the beginning, de Matteo loves her account now, and she has no plans of closing it.
The money that she has been making through her OnlyFans account not only helped her with debts, but it also helped her launch her own streetwear brand, ULTRAFREE, she told DailyMail.

Subscription to The Sopornos, how de Matteo describes her OnlyFans account, cost $15 a month and currently counts with 169 posts. Until March 6, subscribers can enjoy a 50% off sale. "I’ve got some hot stuff coming for ya and some new livestreams planned. Don't miss it," the sale promo reads.
De Matteo is not the only celebrity who has ventured into the steamy world of OnlyFans. Iggy Azalea, Carmen Electra, Cardi B and Bella Thorne are some of the famous people on the platform.
On average, OnlyFans creators make from $150 to $180 a month, according to a report by Influencer Marketing Hub. But some top creators make hundreds of thousands a year, if not millions, Business Insider reported.
