Sparkling Silver Looks Are Trending on MTV VMAs 2024 Red Carpet With Paris Hilton, Sabrina Carpenter and More

Shimmering silver looks were among the trends on the 2024 MTV VMAs red carpet in New York City on Wednesday. A bevy of A-list stars styled the trend in various ways, taking inspiration from Old Hollywood and more variations.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton shimmered from head to toe in her all-over silver look at the 2024 MTV VMAs. The “Stars Are Blind” singer wore a custom dress courtesy of Celia Kritharioti. Made from bedazzled chainmail, the distressed dress coordinated with a matching box clutch and pumps. Hilton also accessorized her look with layers of glittering silver chokers.

Jordan Chiles

Olympian Jordan Chiles gave her 2024 MTV VMAs silver look a sporty spin. The gold and silver medalist and gymnast wore a look from Off-White’s fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection, which debuted on the runway during Paris Fashion Week last February. The look featured high-waist short-shorts with a coordinated flowing silver top. The ensemble also featured high neckline, opera gloves and jeweled details in red and black.

Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter continued her Old Hollywood glamour style streak by going back into the archives for the 2024 MTV VMAs. The “Espresso” singer wore a vintage dress by Bob Mackie that was sourced by Tab Vintage. The dress was originally worn by Madonna to the 1991 Academy Awards. The floor-length gown featured a strapless, sweetheart silhouette with glittering silver embellishments framing the neckline and embellished on the bodice.

Sole Oceanna

Sole Oceanna also styled a sparkling silver look, wearing a minidress that featured a draped fabric neckline, which she paired with a large statement necklace and coordinated earrings. The singer also wore a pair of platform buckle boots with small heart-shaped embellishments.

The MTV VMAs recognize the year’s best music videos, artists and songs. Megan Thee Stallion makes her hosting debut during the 2024 ceremony, held at the UBS Stadium in Elmont, New York on Sept. 11. Katy Perry will receive the honorary Video Vanguard Award, while performers include Sabrina Carpenter, Lenny Kravitz, Eminem and Karol G.
