Granese plays Ricky, the devious right-hand man to Ritter’s villainous Goldie. A man who loves the sound of his own laugh, Ricky is famous for doing Goldie’s bidding, namely kidnapping Shipka’s younger sister and taking her back to their seedy commune, setting the film’s plot in motion.
Written by Sophie Tabet and Julia Roth, the film also stars Lorenza Izzo, Jamie Chung and Karen Fukuhara.
Bee-Hive’s Stephen Braun (Sacramento) is producing alongside The Wonder Company’s Eric B. Fleischman and Chris Abernathy (Sacramento), Jonathan Craven (The Hills Have Eyes 2), Tabet and Roth, with Joe Roth (Anyone But You) serving as executive producer. Verve Ventures and the UTA Independent Film Group are representing worldwide rights to the project.
Soon to be seen in Alonso Ruizpalacios’ drama La Cocina, which was nominated for the Golden Bear for Best Film in its Berlin Film Festival premiere, Granese also appears in Jack Begert’s debut feature Little Death, produced by Darren Aronofsky’s Protozoa, which won the NEXT Innovator Award at Sundance 2024. Previously seen on shows like Mayans M.C., Barry, Fear the Walking Dead and Better Call Saul, the actor will also soon be seen in Ridley Scott and Peter Craig’s crime drama Sinking Spring for Apple TV+.
Granese is represented by Untitled Entertainment and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
