The Spice Girls Reunited for Victoria Beckham’s 50th Birthday and the Party Went Wild
On Saturday night, Victoria Beckham celebrated her 50th birthday in London and she was surrounded by friends, family, and all of her fellow Spice Girls. Happily, her husband David Beckham was there to record the momentous reunion. Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, and Emma Bunton were all present to to party with Posh Spice and they even performed one their hits, “Stop.”
Stop was released in March 1998, as the band’s third single. The group first formed in 1994 and split up in 2000. They’ve had a few reunions since, mostly as a four person group in 2019, but she did join them for the London Olympics closing ceremony in 2012.
A friend of the family told the Daily Mail, “It meant the world to Victoria that they were all there. They were a huge part of her life and they shared so much together. These were special days and so of course to have them there to mark her 50th was just wonderful for her. It made everything so perfect.”
Victoria recently injured her foot and when the party ended in the early hours of the morning, she was photographed being carried by David from the Mayfair private members club Oswald’s. She was giggling and wearing sunglasses while on her husband’s back, and he had abandoned his suit coat. David apparently gave a moving speech at the gathering to honor his wife.
A source told The Sun, “There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as they spoke about their love for the pop songstress-turned fashion designer—while also making jokes about the birthday girl.”
They added, “David really splashed the cash. He wanted it to be extra special for her after she always makes such an effort for everyone else.”
Also seen at the event were stars Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jason Statham, Marc Anthony, Nadia Ferreira, Gordon and Tana Ramsay, Eva Longoria, Tom Cruise, and Salma Hayek.
