Spider-fans, start your web-spinning with an exclusive sneak peek at Hasbro's new 'Spidey and His Amazing Friends' toys
Check out a new line of toys from the upcoming "Web Spinners" storyline on the hit Disney Junior series
Like the song goes, Spider-Man — and his amazing friends — catch thieves just like flies. When the hit animated series Spidey and His Amazing Friends returns to Disney Junior on Aug. 18, young web-slingers will be treated to an all-new storyline called "Web-Spinners," which finds Iron Man creating all-new, all hi-tech suits and gear for the trio of Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy, aka Ghost-Spider. And all that equipment is coming just in time, too, because Team Spidey is going to have take the fight directly to their frequent nemesis Arnim Zola.
But before "Web-Spinners" comes to TV, Hasbro is bringing it to toy shelves. Yahoo Entertainment has your exclusive first look at the toy giant's new line of Spidey toys featuring all the gear you'll soon see on the small screen — including zippy vehicles and an ultra-cool playset modeled after Team Spidey's new HQ. All of these toys will be available this summer at most major retailers.
Each member of the trio gets new "Web-Spinners" specific action figures, retailing for $11.99 each. Accessories include a backpack, a special web-spinning device and a handy bot to help them in the field.
These figures are also color-coordinated to reflect their upgraded looks on Spidey and His Amazing Friends. We think you'll agree that Ghost-Spider's duds in particular are Across the Spider-Verse-level cool.
And when they're tired of web-slinging, Team Spidey can hop behind the wheels of their character-specific rides, which retail for $27.99 each. Gwen, for example, pilots a Glide Spinner that zooms around via spinning propellers.
Meanwhile, Miles prefers to get to the point... of a drill. His Drill Spinner can tunnel anywhere, with the helmet keeping him safe from flying debris.
As for Peter, he prefers to hover above the fray with a Hover Spinner that propels him forward on both land and sea.
If you want to pick up Team Spidey — and their robotic archvillain — in one handy package, the Gear Up for Adventure pack features the quartet lets you act out your own version of the brawls they'll have when the "Web Spinners" storyline kicks off in August. Retailing for $33.99, this four-pack collection also comes with web-spinning attachments that snap on easily to the trio's removable helmets.
And when Team Spidey needs some R&R, send them back to there Iron Man-built home base, complete with command center, garage and transformation chamber. Additional action features included with this $129.99 playset let them test out their spider skills before racing off to foil Zola's next plot.
It's a big Spider-Verse out there... and these toys will keep your own Spider-Team busy until Spidey and His Amazing Friends returns in August.
