Even though Makensy Manbeck didn’t win the $750,000 grand prize money at the end of Sunday’s two-hour finale, she still came away with $75K as the season’s runner-up. Not too shabby! And now, she has no hard feelings about losing by a unanimous 7-to-0 jury vote over eventual winner Chelsie Baham, her bestie in the game.

Makensy felt “honestly blessed,” the 22-year-old construction project manager from Houston, Texas told host Julie Chen Moonves after the confetti fell. “I didn’t come here for the money. I came here for the experience. And the other person that I wanted to win was Chelsie, and she is so well-deserving.”
As it turned out out, Makensy had all of the power in the finale after she won the last Head of Household competition (her 10th comp win of the summer). She decided to take Chelsie with her to the Final 2, thereby sending Cam Sullivan-Brown to the jury box. Both ladies were grilled by the jurors, and then Chelsie ended up winning the season thanks to a unanimous vote over Makensy. Do YOU think Makensy would have won if she took Cam with her instead? Sound off down in the comments section.

Julie later checked in with Chelsie, who mimicked Makensy’s “blessed” notion after pocketing three-quarters of a million dollars. “I’ve been a fan since I was a kid. I worked hard the last 90 days,” explained the 27-year-old nonprofit director from Rancho Cucamonga, California. “I’m just ready to go see my dog.”
Also in the finale, Tucker Des Lauriers came away with a $50K prize after being named America’s Favorite Houseguest. “Thank you for understanding me,” stated the popular contestant. “I hope I can inspire people to be confident in being themselves, whether you’re a goofy, wild, weird dude or not. To thine own self be true, and the best gift is the gift of experience. Run it up, baby!”
“Big Brother” Season 26 may be over, but Season 27 is already in the casting process. If YOU think you have what it takes to last 90 days inside the “BB” house, what are you waiting for? Give it a shot!
