Spotify Wrapped: Australia’s Most Streamed Artists, Songs, Albums Podcasts Of 2022
Spotify has unveiled its annual Spotify Wrapped data, giving listeners around the world insight into their streaming habits over the last year. As the ABC reports, Spotify has revealed the broader consumption habits of its customers, both in Australia and globally.
In Australia, Taylor Swift, Drake, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, and Kanye West were the most-streamed artists. On a global scale, Bad Bunny was number one, with BTS helping to push both Ed Sheeran and Kanye out of the top five.
Taylor Swift – ‘Anti-Hero’
Locally, The Kid LAROI was the most-streamed Aussie artist, followed by The Wiggles, Hilltop Hoods, Vance Joy, and Flume. Harry Styles’ ‘As It Was’ and Glass Animals’ ‘Heat Waves’ were the most-streamed singles. The Kid LAROI’s Justin Bieber collab ‘STAY’ and PNAU’s remix of Elton John’s ‘Cold Heart’ also ranked high.
The controversial Joe Rogan Experience was the most streamed podcast in Australia and internationally, with Aussies also enjoying ABC News Briefing, Casefile True Crime, The Inspired Unemployed, and Call Her Daddy. Internationally, Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain, Caso 63, and Crime Junkie did big numbers.
