“Skeleton Crew follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy,” the synopsis for the series reads. “Finding their way home—and meeting unlikely allies and enemies—will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.”
The series stars Jude Law, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Tunde Adebimpe, Kerry Condon, Jaleel White, and Nick Frost as the voice of a droid named SM 33.
Watts, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, David Lowery, Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Lee Isaac Chung are all directing episodes of the forthcoming Star Wars series.
Susan McNamara and John Bartnicki produce the series, while Ford, Watts, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson serve as executive producers.
Law recently told PEOPLE about the series, “It is a fun place to be, the universe of Star Wars. And there are great references to old films and recent episodes and series. There’s a lot of originality and I hope that will bring the feeling of fun to those who watch it.”
He added, “I had a wonderful time making this with everyone involved. Those four in particular who worked with me very closely were just great fun and incredibly professional, and I’m immensely proud to be a part of their crew.”
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will premiere on Disney+ on December 3, 2024.
