The stars responded to the show, which “explores the events of her life that have brought her to this moment,” with a standing ovation. Before that, however, they lined up for pics on a step-and-repeat that featured oversized images of Berlant in various poses (seen above). Drinks and light bites were served pre-curtain and an intimate cocktail reception followed after at the Playhouse’s Bar Chelou where all attendees mingled to celebrate Kate.
Kate is now running at the Pasadena Playhouse through Feb. 11.
