Stephen Colbert’s 'Cartoon President' gives State of the Union address

On the series premiere of Stephen Colbert’s Our Cartoon President, we got to meet a whole cast of characters surrounding cartoon Donald Trump. From his cabinet to his family to the TV he watches, there wasn’t a single part of Trump’s life that wasn’t spoofed. Over the past year, Cartoon Trump has been appearing regularly on The Late Show. Sunday night he gave his first State of the Union address, and — just like the real thing — Cartoon Trump was full of hyperbole.

“Ever since I won the electoral college by the largest margin in history, Washington has tried to box me in,” Cartoon Trump declared in the SOTU. “Make me say dumb dictionary words like progress. And give handshakes that end the same day they began. But that’s not who I am.”

After the speech, the show cut to Fox and Friends — and the couch didn’t 100% have Trump’s back. While Steve Doocy and Ainsley Earhardt thought the speech was a 10 out of 10, Brian Kilmeade gave it only a 9.9.

Cartoon Kilmeade said, “I’m gonna say a 9.9 because again, a tiny part of my brain, and it’s so small, but it’s screaming that all of this is completely wrong.”

Our Cartoon President airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Showtime.
