Stevie Nicks, Ariana Grande will team up on SNL Season 50. How to watch
Stevie Nicks will be the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" on Saturday, Oct. 12, with Ariana Grande hosting.
Nicks shared the news on social media on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
This is the second time Grande and Nicks have filled those roles.
Nicks was the musical guest on Dec. 10, 1983, performing "Stand Back" and "Nightbird," the first and third singles from "The Wild Heart," her second solo album, which peaked at No. 5 on Billboard's album chart along the way to going double platinum.
The Phoenix-born music icon was living in Paradise Valley at the time.
Why is Stevie Nicks important to Arizona?
Nicks spent part of her childhood in Arizona and built a home near her parents in Paradise Valley in 1981, the same year she released "Bella Donna," her solo debut, after emerging as one of the most distinctive voices of her generation through her work with Fleetwood Mac.
Her latest studio release is 2014's "24 Karat Gold: Songs from the Vault," which peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard album chart. She launched a tour in support of that album at Footprint Arena (then called Talking Stick Resort Arena) in downtown Phoenix. That tour resulted in the 2020 album, "Live in Concert: The 24 Karat Gold Tour."
In 2019, Nicks became the first woman to be twice inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
She was inducted for her work with Fleetwood Mac in 1988.

In 2019, she was honored for her solo work, including many songs she wrote in the shadow of Camelback Mountain. When she shared that news on Twitter, Nicks wrote, "For now I will just say, I have been in a band since 1968. To be recognized for my solo work makes me take a deep breath and smile. It's a glorious feeling."
